Rules

  • Your GOAL: enter and explore the dungeon. Locate and steal the Dragon's gold. Escape before he catches you!
  • Tap a tile to pick your entrance. That tile becomes both your starting point and your Exit — you must return here to win.
  • Walls are invisible until you walk into one. Bumping a wall reveals it and ends your turn.
  • Some mazes have hidden doors. A door only reveals itself when it happens to block you — the same door can let you through one time and stop you the next.
  • You get 8 moves per turn. Find the gold and your turn ends immediately, and your move allowance per turn drops to 4.
  • Getting near the dragon's lair wakes it. When he awakens make note of the space he occupies, this is the location of his gold treasure! Find a way to get there and take it! Once awake, it takes one step toward you at the end of every one of your turns — unless you're standing safely on your entrance tile.
  • If the dragon catches you, your move allowance drops a tier (8→6→4→0) and you're sent back to your entrance. If it catches you while you're carrying gold, or your allowance hits 0, you die.
  • Escape through the Exit tile while carrying the gold to win!

2-Player Mode

  • Pick 2 Players on the Dungeon Size screen, then choose a 2nd Human (pass the device back and forth, with a “Get Ready” prompt between turns) or a Computer opponent. Player 1 always goes first.
  • Each knight has their own entrance, marked with its own colored stairs (yellow for Player 2) — but it looks like an ordinary tile to your opponent. Only you can see your own stairs, and only on your turn.
  • Whenever both knights end up on the same tile and either one is carrying the gold, they fight over it! The winner is decided by each knight's hidden Strength, which quietly fades with every step and is unpredictably restored from time to time — neither of you can ever be quite sure who has the edge. The winner's move allowance is immediately capped at 4 for the rest of that turn.
  • If the dragon corners both knights on the same tile, it attacks whichever one is weaker. The other is safe for now, but will be attacked too if still there after their own next turn.
  • If a knight dies while carrying the gold, it flies back to the Dragon's treasure room and stays in plain sight — ready for the other knight to grab it.
  • First knight to escape through their own entrance with the gold wins the round!
